A native of Ohio, Rebecca Martin earned both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in criminal justice from the University of Cincinnati. She worked as a Cincinnati police officer assigned to the patrol division for 5 years before joining the FBI as a special agent in 1997. Her years with the FBI have taken her to Kansas City and Wichita, where she has been assigned to the investigation of predominately white collar crime. Martin currently serves as a supervisory senior resident agent in Wichita. In this position, she supervises the Wichita and Garden City offices in criminal and national security matters. For over 12 years, Martin served on the Kansas City FBI response team and participated on interview boards for new agents. In her spare time, Rebecca is an avid health enthusiast who runs and works out at the YMCA on a regular basis. She loves to garden and volunteers at her church and her children’s school. In addition, she volunteers her with Neighbor Ministries Step Stone program and has served as a team captain for the past 6 years for the Wichita ALS annual walk. Rebecca’s mother tragically passed way from ALS in 2013. Her husband, Kevin Kochenderfer, is a sergeant with the Wichita Police department and they have three children.
