Perhaps push-back date if stay-at-home mandate lifted

Kansas-native Don King joined Ascension Via Christi as its chief executive officer and Kansas Ministry Market Executive in April 2019.

King will be sharing information about his role as leader of the largest healthcare provider in Kansas, some of the progress made in 2019 and what the community can expect in the future.

King came to Kansas from Alabama, where he served as chief operating officer for Ascension's Saint Vincent’s Health System & Providence Health System. Prior to that, King held senior leader roles for Ascension hospitals in Tennessee and served as chief operating officer for Lee’s Summit Medical Center.

King earned both his undergraduate in Physical Therapy and master’s degree from Loma Linda University in southern California. He and his wife, Wendy, who grew up in the Kansas City area, have two children, Grant and Abigail, who both attend the University of Tennessee Chattanooga.
